Objective
To recruit, train, place, and provide support for Teach for America corps members within high-poverty, low-performing schools in Chicago School District 299. A mentoring and induction component supports these new teachers in their classrooms.

Formula Matching Requirements
Indirect costs are not allowed. Corps member impact is measured by four criteria: academic growth of students, degree to which students experience a strong culture of achievement in the classroom, degree to which students are engaging with rigorous and meaningful content, and the level of student ownership of their individual success and leadership development.
Uses and Restrictions
Funds may not be used to supplant any other federal, state, or local funds. No subcontracting is allowed.
Reports
An annual program report must be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education within 30 days of the grant end date.
Audits
The audit requirements adopted by GATA include the adoption of the federal audit requirements (2 CFR 200.501), audit requirements for grantees and subrecipients that do not meet the federal audit requirements and audit requirements for “For Profit” subrecipients. For-profit Subrecipient. The PTE(s) is responsible for ensuring subrecipient compliance with established requirements. Methods to ensure compliance for State and federal awards to for profit subrecipients may include pre-award audits, monitoring during the agreement period of performance, and post-award audits.
