PROGRAM INFORMATION
Short Description
The NAACP Chicago Westside Branch will develop partnerships to provide an array of programming and services to the Westside community that focus on improving the lives of the community’s youth, community economic development opportunities and housing ownership/stabilization.
Programming will include Career and Technical Education programs, Enrichment/mentoring programs, Housing services; and education programming. Partnerships will include:: Prestige Training Academy will partner to several Career and Technical Education programs to include: CNA Training, EKG and Phlebotomy, The Black Fire Brigade will provide Emergency and Medical Training (EMT), Ignite Technology and Innovation will provide coding, Train Up First will provide Mentoring and Enrichment , Universal Housing Solutions will provide Housing Workshops and Training, Mentoring Chefs will provide Culinary and Hospitality, these partners will deliver the curriculum and partner with the NAACP Westside Branch to recruit, enroll and retain program participants in the program . The partners will provide assistance with job placement and test prep to help students prepare for the state exams.
Programming and services will be hosted by area schools and services will be made available for Westside youth age 12-24 (age varies by activity).
