Short Description
Metropolitan Family Services / ACT Now Coalition serves as Illinois' Mott statewide network for after school. The ACT Now Coalition works towards ensuring that young people in Illinois have access to quality, affordable after school and youth development programs. Activities support providers across that state to promote high quality after school programs that work to ensure students are college and career ready. This grant is matched three-fold by the MOTT foundation with ISBE as one partner.

Objective
Increase awareness and usage of state afterschool standards as a means to improve quality implementation of afterschool programs and will introduce new afterschool programs to the standards. Identify gaps and opportunities for the development of afterschool programs in high need areas. Have stakeholder partners share about the online afterschool map. Have providers add their information to the map. Increase provider capacity in implementing quality afterschool programs. Hold Afterschool advocates calls to build greater statewide representations. Facilitate standards trainings.

Uses and Restrictions
This grant uses a federally restricted indirect cost rate. Funds have a supplement not supplant restriction. Funds cannot be used for lobbying purposes.
Reports
Expenditure reports to be submitted on quarterly basis via IWAS. Programmatic reports are submitted on semiannual basis via IWAS. Final programmatic report due 30 days after completion of grant period.
Audits
In accordance with the provisions of 2 CFR 200, Subpart F - Audit Requirements, nonfederal entities that expend financial assistance of $750,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Non-Federal entities that expend less than $750,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in 2 CFR 200.503 In accordance with the EDGAR, Appendix to 34 CFR 80, State and local governments that receive financial assistance of $500,000 or more within the State's fiscal year shall have an audit made for that year.
