Objective
To provide Elementary and Secondary School Relief grant to local educational agencies, including charter schools that are LEAs with federal funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus threat and continuity in education services during the COVID-19 emergency.

Renewals
This program will run for one year only with no chance of renewal.
Uses and Restrictions
Grantees must participate in Statewide Evaluation & Monitoring. Trainings provided by this grant must be approved by ISBE
Reports
Grantees will be required to submit quarterly and final expenditure reports through IWAS. Grantees will be required to submit semiannual and final programmatic reports through IWAS.
Audits
Required Audits: In accordance with the provisions of 2 CFR 200, Subpart F - Audit Requirements, nonfederal entities that expend financial assistance of $750,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Non-Federal entities that expend less than $750,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in 2 CFR 200.503
Records
Record Retention Policy for Program: In accordance with Section 443 of the General Education Provisions Act, as well as 34 CFR 75.730-732, 34 CFR 76.730-731, and 2 CFR 200.333, grantees must maintain records for 3 years.
