Short Description
After school programming for low income youth ages 7-18. Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school. Power Hour provides a safe practical environment for members to effectively complete academic assignments, Money Matters, make it count promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13-18, Career Launch encourages Club members ages 13-18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation's work force.

Objective
The Boys and Girls Club of Decatur (Project Learn) intends to address the educational gap and provide after school care for low-income students in Macon County. BGC of Decatur will serve 700 youth between the ages of 7-18. Project Learn will provide a safe practical environment for youth to complete academic assignments, promote financial responsibility and independence, explore careers, make sound educational decisions, and provide prevention education to address problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity, promote sports and high quality health and wellness programs to youth ages 13-18.
