Short Description
Greater St. John Church will serve 30 youth, ages 11 to 19, who will be involved in 1-2 sessions per month on Friday evenings between the hours of 7 and 11pm. Each monthly session includes: 1) Community Circle to consistently foster a restorative and connective culture that creates a sense of social and emotional safety. 2) Mentor Meet-Up so that youth have a chance to connect 1:1 or in small groups with a Mentor. 3) Meal/Snacks 4) Connective Group Experience (such as movie night, arts & crafts, game night, cooking night, etc.) to support the development of strong peer and mentor relationships. Connective Group Experiences are carefully curated so that they require an element of active or reflective problem solving, conflict resolution and/or anger and grief management, ensuring that youth in the program have ample opportunity and support to achieve growth in these areas over time.
