To enhance safety on Illinois roadways by developing educational materials and implementing impaired driving countermeasure programs created by the Grantee.
UGA Program Terms
This grant will run annually on the State Fiscal year (07/01-06/30).
Selected grantees must submit the BoBS 2832 and/or any additional documents as outlined in the Grant Agreement.

Schools, School District Offices, Regional Offices of Education and/or agencies seeking to develop programs concerning impaired driving countermeasures that are eligible to receive state funds.

The application will also require information including but not limited to UEI, program contacts, and authorizing representatives. The corresponding NOFO(s) will outline specific documents required for application submission and, if applicable, documents required to be submitted as per the grant agreement.
Preapplication Coordination
All applicants for all grants must be pre-qualified by GATA requirements including active Sam.gov accounts and not being on the Stop Pay List. All applicants must also be eligible to receive state funds.
Application Procedures
Review NOFO. Ensure all pre-qualifications are met in the GATA GOMB portal and, if applicable, Amplifund prior to applying. Ensure additional eligibility for grant application criteria are met.

Submit all documentation required in Amplifund. Each NOFO may require different documentation to be submitted. All necessary documentation for each NOFO will be made available to applicant in Amplifund. All pre-qualifications must be met and documentation completed before the application can be submitted.
Criteria Selecting Proposals
All application documents submitted on time by eligible applicants shall be reviewed by the DUI Education and Prevention Commission. Please contact (217) 557-6670 or shannon.alderman@illinois.gov for specifics.
Award Procedures
Selected applicants will notification via Amplifund. Applicants that are not selected will receive a denial letter via USPS.
Grants are funded on a reimbursement basis. The requirements for submitting reimbursements will vary from agency to agency depending on the funding source. However, BSPE is able to front funds for up to sixty (60) days in advance.

Appeals
Submit a formal letter to the Impaired Driving Program Coordinator at IDOT. This letter may present the case in which the applicant believes they should have received funding. Please contact shannon.alderman@illinois.gov for specifics.
