Short Description
Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force. The Director of the Illinois State Police shall establish a statewide multi-jurisdictional Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force led by the Illinois State Police dedicated to combating gun violence, gun-trafficking, and other violent crime with the primary mission of preservation of life and reducing the occurrence and the fear of crime. The objectives of the Task Force shall include, but not be limited to, reducing and preventing illegal possession and use of firearms, firearm-related homicides, and other violent crimes, and solving firearm-related crimes.

Objective
The purpose of the FOID enforcement grant program is to facilitate the sharing of information and development of partnerships within the Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force to reduce and prevent illegal possession and use of firearms, solve firearm-related crimes, and otherwise reduce violent crimes in Illinois. The grantee will utilize grant funds for the purposes of reducing and preventing illegal possession and use of firearms, solving firearm-related crimes, and otherwise reducing violent crimes in Illinois

The Grantor has the following additional requirements for its Grantee: 1. The Grantee must be a member of the Illinois State Police Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force (VCITF). In order to become a member of the VCITF, an Intergovernmental Operating Agreement (IGA) between the Grantee Department and the Illinois State Police must have been fully executed (IGA is attached and must be completed if not already a member of the VCITF). 2. The Grantee Department will provide a W-9 for their Law Enforcement Department at the time of application by uploading into AmpliFund. 3. The Grantee Department will provide a proposed budget at the time of application by uploading into AmpliFund. 4. Comply with required monthly performance reporting within seven (7) days after the end of each reporting period in AmpliFund. 5. Comply with required quarterly financial reporting within seven (7) days after the end of each reporting period in AmpliFund. 6. No close out report required as all information will be documented on the June 2026 monthly performance and the Quarter 4 financial reporting spreadsheets and entries in AmpliFund. 7. The Grantee must be a Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG) or an Illinois State Police led Multi-Jurisdiction Task Force (TF).
