Short Description
Grants that are awarded to local workforce areas and other qualified organizations to provide the required and/or allowable statewide workforce activities as outlined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Public Act 113-128) including the expansion of apprenticeships.

Objective
The goals of the project are outlined in the applicable federal Solicitation for Grant Application and restated in the State of Illinois Notice of Funding Opportunity. The goals for this program include expanding apprenticeships in Illinois.

Reports
Applicants must enter into a Grant Agreement with the Department of Commerce and follow the program requirements outlined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity and Grant Agreement.
