The Grantee and the Grantor have the right to use (including, but not limited to, citing to, circulating, displaying, and reproducing) all products that result from the Grantee receiving financial assistance under this Agreement whether the product is developed by the Grantee or a sub-grantee. The Grantee will include in any publications for external general circulation (including brochures, newsletters, and presentations materials) the following phrase: “Funding for this project provided, in part, by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency through Section 319 of the Clean Water Act.”

Applicant Eligibility
Prairie du Pont Project funds are available to any organization that has played a significant role in the successful development of an Illinois EPA approved watershed-based plan and has coordinated the implementation of best management practices or projects. The applicant must also be a Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) Pre-Qualified entity that has legal status to accept funds from the State of Illinois. These may include local watershed groups, land conservancies or trusts, public and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions, units of government (county, municipal, township, or State), universities and colleges, park districts and other local land managing agencies, soil and water conservation districts, and conservation organizations. The Illinois EPA cannot make the Prairie du Pont Project award to an applicant who fails to meet the GATA Pre-Qualification criterion defined in Section E.1. Prairie du Pont Project applicants must have the financial ability to initiate the project, pay expenses, and then request reimbursement from the Illinois EPA, while continuing to finance their normal operating expenses.
