Short Description
St. Bernard Hospital is a 174-bed community, safety net, Catholic community hospital operating under the sponsorship of Catholic Health International. The St. Bernard Hospital service area includes Englewood, West Englewood, Washington Park, Grand Boulevard, Greater Grand Crossing, Auburn Gresham, Chicago Lawn and South Shore.

Section 360. The amount of $800,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for a grant to St. Bernard Hospital, including administrative costs, for purposes allowed by Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and any associated federal guidance.
Objective
Integrate a trauma informed care approach to serving everyone at St. Bernard Hospital (co-workers, visitors or patients). A trauma informed care approach will help our staff to be more understanding and have addition skills to deal with how trauma presents on a daily basis in people’s behavior.
