Short Description
All Our Kids Early Childhood Networks (AOK Networks) are community-based collaborations that promote healthy pregnancies and the positive growth and development of all children birth to five and their parents/caregivers by assuring a well-coordinated, easily-accessible, equitable and just system of services and supports that engages parents as partners in making the system work for them. AOK Networks use a data-driven approach to understand disparities and root causes of locally identified priority issues. The goal of the initiative is to improve outcomes for children and families through the implementation of evidence-based strategies that promote an effective local early childhood system.

Objective
The goal of the initiative is to improve outcomes for children and families through an effective local early childhood system. The objectives of the initiative are a) to establish and maintain a community collaboration (the Network) representing early childhood development system partners and individuals with interests and services for families with young children to work on improving access, equity, quality, capacity and consumer satisfaction of local service delivery by developing and implementing strategic initiatives that incorporate system-building strategies b) to conduct in conjunction with the local IPLAN a community assessment utilizing primary and secondary data sources to identify local early childhood initiatives to be addressed through a five year strategic plan c) to engage parents/caregivers as Network partners through participation in Network meetings, parent work groups, community events, written surveys, periodic parent cafés, and public education campaigns.

Uses and Restrictions
The AOK Network grants support the state's early childhood vision and efforts for every child to enter kindergarten healthy, safe, eager to learn, and ready to succeed. Grantees are required to hire one (1.0) FTE local All Our Kids (AOK) Early Childhood Network Coordinator to develop, promote and maintain a community collaboration (the AOK Network) representing multi-sector service providers, family representatives, and others who care about the health and well-being of pregnant women and families with young children within the geographically assigned area to collaborate on improving access, equity, quality, and capacity of local resources and service delivery.
Reports
Grantees are required to record all efforts completed toward identifies objectives in the AOK Connect reporting database monthly, submitting semi-annual Periodic Performance Reports (PPR) to update the Department on the Network's progress. The provider will also submit any additional documentation of efforts as requested by the state administrator.

Program Accomplishments
Across 11 communities, there are over 1000 partners engaged that represent more than 12 sectors. 90% of AOK Network communities utilize IRIS, a web-based referral tool, over 17,000 referrals have been made across AOK Network communities. Local initiatives are focusing on system issues related to Health and Wellness, Early Childhood Development, Mental Health, Dental Health, Postpartum Depression, Trauma-Informed Practice, and other system issues.
