Objective
Austin Childcare Providers Network proposes a pilot that addresses three challenges for childcare programs and their staff to increase quality and stabilize childcare programs. First, creating a pathway to higher education credentials and degrees by enrolling childcare providers/staff in a Child Development Associate (CDA) cohort program. Second, developing a family childcare home cohort that supports completion of the National Association for Family Childcare Accreditation (NAFCC). Third, a series of best business practice trainings that ensure childcare owners have the knowledge and skill to conduct their businesses with sound financial and business acumen.
