Short Description
The Illinois Community College Board and the Illinois Board of Higher Education, working with agency and institutional partners, consultants and other key stakeholders, will stand up the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity as outlined in PA 102-0174.

Objective
Stand up the consortium: ICCB will work with IBHE to convene member institutions and provide administrative support and organizations structure for the Consortium. This will require hiring staff, procuring supplies and equipment, traveling throughout the state, and related costs. In collaboration with agency and institutional partners, ICCB will also put into place needed mechanisms to meet statutory requirements for process reporting or the Consortium. Establish an Advisory Committee: An Advisory Committee will be convened as outlined in PA 102-0174, and funds may be used to support the operations of the Advisory Committee. Provide grants to community colleges: To identify and implement solutions to address barriers for degree and license and Gateway Credential alignment among ECACE workforce.
