Short Description
The Illinois extensively drug resistant organism (XDRO) registry is a dynamic infection surveillance and interfacility communication system that sends out real-time messages to healthcare facilities across the state. The CDC has upheld Illinois’ registry as a national example to other states. As IDPH prepares to transfer the hosting and related work for the XDRO registry in-house over the next two years, IDPH seeks a time-limited direct grant agreement with an organization that will collect XDRO data from healthcare facilities and labs, maintain the registry, validate data feeds, educate and assist facilities on reporting and using the XDRO data to improve interfacility communication and infection prevention efforts at their facilities. The grantee will also independently prioritize facilities for education and technical assistance, based on gaps they identify from reviewing data.
