Section 160 of the Public Act 102-0017 which is an Act concerning appropriations, directly appropriated $250,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for a grant to Equal Hope for mammography quality improvement. The grant project period is January 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023.

Objective
• Create a mammography quality measurement tool that can be deployed statewide and offered to mammography facilities across Illinois enrolled in Medicaid and/or the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. • Educate mammography facility personnel on mammography quality and the data collection tool. • Creation of Outreach and Engagement strategy to enroll mammography facilities into the program. • Gather mammography quality data from facilities. • Analysis of Data and Site-specific reports. • Provide free Continuing Education to participating facilities.
