Short Description
Adler University will deliver a baccalaureate (B.A.) in Applied Psychology degree program in an online format to incarcerated students at Big Muddy River Correctional Facility in Ina, IL. This program includes major and elective coursework leading to the conferral of a B.A. degree in applied psychology. The program includes 60 credits, or 20 courses, all delivered online. Each course includes weekly synchronous sessions to promote engagement. This program includes a minimum of 4 face-to-face advising sessions, conducted at regular intervals throughout the program. During these advising sessions, faculty and advisors serving the program cover topics such as career goals with the students, emphasizing practical applications of content being covered in the degree program.

Objective
Implement or expand educational and vocational programs for incarcerated adults that result in improved educational outcomes, as measured by literacy attainment, high school equivalence, high school and higher education diplomas, certifications, and other credentials. Demonstrate increased collaboration between educational providers and corrections, community supervision providers, and other reentry stakeholders.

Pre-Award Costs. Pre-award costs are authorized in accordance with 2 CFR 200.209. Pre-award costs are those incurred from the beginning of the period of performance of the grant until the execution of this grant agreement and must be in accordance with the final approved program budget. ICJIA has the right to review supporting documentation for all pre-award costs that are submitted for reimbursement on a financial report from grantees. Costs that are not in accordance with the final approved budget (necessary, reasonable, allowable, and allocable) shall be disallowed. Site Visits. Grantee shall permit agents of Grantor to enter the premises of Grantee to observe the operation of Grantee’s program. Grantor shall give Grantee reasonable notice of intent to enter for observing and such observation shall not unreasonably interfere with the conduct of Grantee in providing services. Grantee shall not enter into a contract, sub-grant, or sub-contract unless the contractor, sub-grantee, or sub-contractor agrees to permit agents of Grantor to enter the premises of the contractor, sub-grantee, or sub-contractor to observe the operation of contractor, sub-grantee, or sub-contractor’s program. Grantor shall give the contractor, sub-grantee, or sub-contractor reasonable notice of intent to enter for the purpose of observing and such observation shall not unreasonably interfere with the conduct of the contractor, sub-grantee, or sub-contractor in providing services.

Audits
Recipients must submit an annual audit report in accordance with the 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Requirements. Future awards and fund drawdowns may be withheld if audit reports are delinquent.
