Short Description
The program provides grants to support research, surveys, investigations, demonstrations, and special purpose assistance relating to the cause; effects including health and welfare effect; extent; prevention; and control of air pollution to include such topics as air quality, acid deposition, global programs, indoor environments, radiation mobile source technology, and community-driven approaches to transportation and emissions reduction. Projects should also focus on addressing environmental justice concerns in communities, and include the fair treatment and meaning involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental law, regulations, and policies.
