Short Description
The program provides modified block grants to states and drives to address multiple environmental priorities. Performance Partnership Grants allow states to reduce administrative costs, direct resources to the highest priority problems, and support corss-media approaches and initiatives by combining any of the 20 eligible categorical grants into a single budget. The ongoing goals of the program are strengthening partnerships; flexibility to states, tribes and interstate agencies; linking activities with goals and outcomes; fostering innovative approaches; and providing savings by streamlining administrative requirements.
