PROGRAM INFORMATION
Short Description
The National Dislocated Worker Grants program provides local workforce areas and other qualified grantees time-limited funding assistance in response to significant dislocation events and natural disasters. Funding is provided by the US Department of Labor.

Objective
Grants that are awarded local workforce areas to provide re-training and job placement services to workers impacted by a layoff or natural disasters.

Eligible Applicants
Government Organizations; Education Organizations; Nonprofit Organizations;
Applicant Eligibility
Illinois Local Workforce Investment Boards, or their designated fiscal agent, are eligible respondents for a region. Eligible project participants are WIOA-eligible Dislocated Workers that are located within the project's pilot areas.

All grantees must comply with the program guidance and the uniform administrative requirements.
Reports
Applicants must enter into a grant agreement with the Department of Commerce and follow the program requirements outlined in funding guidelines and Grant Agreement.
